Girls... Does it sound familiar?
Fret not! If your boyfriend constantly tells you how alike you are with his mum, take it as a compliment... Because you are probably "The One" for him...

The same goes for guys... If your girlfriend said you remind her of her dad, you are "The One" for her too...

In the beginning, people usually choose someone who is totally opposite of what their parents are... Probably because of the rebellious nature that humans have...

But, sooner or later, they will find comfort being with someone who resembles their parents, without realizing it consciously...

Basically, people always choose someone who resembles their parent because of the warmth and familiarity they grew in, I guess... People also prefer going places and/or meeting faces which they are familiar with... I guess this is also why daughter-in-laws and mother-in-laws generally don't get along, because they're too alike...?

Anyway, I am speaking in general... Of course, there are people who choose their life partner differently...
But if he/she says that you remind him/her of his mum/her dad, it is something you should be happy about...
